The McCain camp has been hiding Sarah Palin from the press for a reason, folks. This has never happened before in modern politics; there has never been a VP candidate who refused to give a national press conference. They're hiding. This whole damned campaign is a shell game.

So what are the Republicans so afraid of?

Though she has been on the campaign trail for nearly three weeks, Palin has yet to hold a press conference, and this morning’s stop marked the first time she answered a question from the press on the fly, prompting concerned looks from staffers.
