Are you freakin' kidding me? This is just cruel cynicism at its worst.
Just so everybody knows, Phil Gramm was a key force in de-regulating Wall Street as a Senator, which to a great extent led us to the financial meltdown we see today. Funny how Republican policies end in the same results, whether it's Enron, Iraq, Katrina, the federal budget, or Wall Street. Our nation lies in ruins because of the GOP. And now these same Republicans believe they can lie to your face and get away with it.
