Protests Called Off

The BBC has just confirmed that Mausavi has been warned by the Iranian government that live ammunition would be used on demonstrators. He has called off the planned march at 4:00 pm. This news comes, of course, from Twitter.

I also have realized that I have been misspelling Mir Hossein Mousavi's name. My apologies. The computer monitor is sitting on the floor, and I'm becoming blind as a bat. I'll be just Mr. Magoo in my old age, I swear.

Finally (bedtime, I swear!), I'd just like to say one more time, Twitter has truly come of age. And the traditional corporate media has failed. This is a watershed moment, straight from the mind of Paddy Cheyefsky.
