I see the stock market dropped another 200+ points. The early rallies in favor of the Fannie/Freddie bailout seem to have dissapeared. I'm sure the investor classes are happy at the prospect of the taxpayers covering them (Socialism For Uncle Moneybags), but the very fact that our government has to intervene in this manner only underscores how vunerable our nation's mutual funds are.
America's finances have been completely run into the ground by a generation of Republican rule. You can argue amongst yourselves whether these were true conservatives, or criminal ideologues who took over. I can't tell you which. But I can tell you that George W. Bush and the GOP are hollowing this nation out until the paint is stripped off the walls. We cannot take another four years of this madness.
Is it just me, or does it feel like everything is crashing down all at once?
